Almost a year ago the switch was flipped and the Enjoy the Flavor site went live. There have been some bumps and a bit of a slow go in 2011, but things have come together nicely. Some new flavorful products are coming online and here is a little background on them.
In the spring, at Artisanal LA, the first tastes of The Mustard were had. James and Zach are really great guys and have a lot of fun sharing their flavorful mustards. Check out some of their videos to see the great time they have. The Hong Kong Habanero is a favorite for roast beast sandwiches.
A few years ago through a local group of food start-ups, the first tastes of San Angel Mole authentic sauces were had and their Cascabel Sauce reminded me of a sauce that some friends from Mexico made (and they would never share the recipe). Talking with Tim and Florence of San Angel many times about the Enjoy site, we finally connected and got some products.
Before all of that, I first met Jan of Heaven’s Cookie while doing product demos at Whole Foods Tustin and we really hit it off. Tasting her Dark Chocolate Chip Cookies were wonderful, they are light and airy, as well as crunchy (thanks to a secret organic ingredient). It was back then, doing demos and meeting other small producers, when I first started thinking about starting something like Enjoy the Flavor to help promote the little guys.
So look for more new and flavorful products to come in the year ahead. These wonderful products are available now!
